us your suggestions!
This week, meet Leslie!
| Participant Profile |
| Who are you? |
My name is Leslie Sichello. I am 50 years old. I have been an
elementary school teacher for 28 years. I love my job!!!
 |
| What are your hobbies? |
My hobbies are the outdoors, as in hiking, camping etc.
Photography and reading. |
| How did you hear about this program, and what made you
do it?? |
I heard about it at work through a friend. She was
enthusiastic and encouraging. I like to try new things and this
was totally new for me. Trust me... totally new!! |
| What will you find challenging? |
The swimming... I need to relax and enjoy it and not fear
drowning. My mantra for this year is "I will be a swimmer by
next year... I will be a swimmer by next year." |
| What do you hope to get out of the program? |
I love events like this. It has been a long time since I have
thought about myself as an athlete. I still don't consider myself
an athlete, but I am the eternal participant. This program has got
me off the couch and enjoying exercise!! I enjoy the spirit and
energy of the group, and the instructors are fantastic. Thanks for
all your hard work!! |
| What races, if any, are you hoping to do? |
I completed the duathalon and that is a surprise to me. I
am entered in the Saskatchewan Half Marathon and I will complete
my 6th walking half marathon. I registered for the Bridge City
Boogie in June. |
